We are proud to hold certification from the Pan American Montessori Society (PAMS) for the 2026–2027 school year. This page explains what that designation means and how it shapes the experience your child will have in our classrooms.
The Pan American Montessori Society is a nonprofit educational organization that has trained and certified Montessori guides since 1973. PAMS has certified thousands of educators across Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Canada, the United States, France, and Spain, and its teacher training program is accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), the body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for Montessori teacher preparation.
Our PAMS certification reflects our commitment to authentic Montessori principles and to the kind of teacher preparation and classroom practice that PAMS has stood for over the past five decades.
Our preschool classrooms focus heavily on language development and sensory exploration, giving children the tools to communicate, observe, and make sense of the world around them during this critical stage of growth.
Every classroom places a strong emphasis on Practical Life activities and Grace & Courtesy lessons. These are the building blocks of independence, coordination, and social awareness, and they run through every stage of our program.
Choosing a program with a genuine Montessori foundation means your child is learning in an environment built on respect for the individual child, hands-on discovery, and independence. At Powder Springs Bilingual Academy, this shows up every day in a few key ways.
As children move into Pre-K, these foundational skills are intentionally combined with mathematics and other key learning areas. This progression is designed to make sure every child leaves our program fully prepared for kindergarten and meets all state readiness requirements.
Our Montessori-inspired approach, our bilingual environment, and our commitment to school readiness work together to support the whole child, not just their academic skills, but their independence, confidence, and curiosity.
